Designing the graphics for the Visenka Cycling Team was my first self taught foray into the basics of graphic design. Visenka was a cycling team I helped launch and manage. The team officially launched back in the year 2000. Composed of racing friends from the University of Colorado we banded together to form a team that would race across the US. Below are some of the jersey designs that made their way to the tops of many podiums at State Championships, National Events, and even the World Championships.

Over the years the sponsors changed as we grew.
This version of the jersey was a lesson in color. When you say red it doesn't mean it's the same red as you want. This version ended up being orange instead of the crimson-ish red fabric swatch I was sent. Calls were not returned after production.
Winter training gear.
The athletes on the team were changing as many turned pro and moved to larger team. To signal new beginnings the team colors were revamped.
As I entered design school I was no longer racing and wanted to do a personal jersey based on the initial team colors of red, white, and black, but on a toned down level. The design ended up marking another new direction as I helped mentor and coach high school athletes.
As I continued to be away from racing longer I no longer want the "Factory" look. This was a welcome non-competitive but also personal jersey.
